Greetings Wellsprings!

Our staff has been bustling this summer to design an online program that we believe will really work for our students, while meeting the complex and shifting requirements for schools this coming year. Our goal is to start safe, prioritizing both student's health and learning.  We will continue to ask your feedback on this as the process evolves, but we are happy to say that we are making good progress. If you did not yet fill out the survey we sent last week, please do so here.

Our plan is for students to attend classes with their peers and a teacher online 4 days a week, for 2 hours per day. They will take 4 classes per term. There will be additional assignments outside of those class times, 1-1 and small group time with teachers and the larger community, and time for independent study as well. We are finalizing the precise schedule and course offerings in the next couple weeks, but rest assured that students will be able to continue to work towards their graduation requirements on pace, with the same individualized focus- while maintaining community connections- that Wellsprings has always provided. We will also provide the technology, materials and meals that are necessary for our students to learn.

Our school year begins Wednesday, September 9th. We will have several days to orient students and families to the school, the staff, and each other. Classes will formally begin in the 16th or the 17th. We will update everyone as soon as we have the details of the schedule finalized. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions!

Best wishes,

Gen
